The Shore Club’s website promotes its cocktail bar for its vibrant style, lively ambiance, signature cocktails and friendly/professional staff – unfortunately the in-person experience just misses that mark. Located in RBC Centre, which borders both the Financial & Entertainment district, The Shore Club mainly attracts patrons from the RBC building it’s situated in and The Ritz-Carlton hotel next door. The look of the décor is luxurious and contemporary, although you (and your wallet) may find yourself sinking a bit too deep into their overly plushy chairs (and over-priced menu).
The Happy Hour at The Shore Club is their saving grace – which includes ‘buck-a-shuck’ oysters, $2 prawns, and a rotating menu of $6 beers and $8 – $10 glasses of wine. On Fridays, their secretly famous fried chicken is $5/piece, and delicious!
Overall, the crowd can be hit and miss depending on the day/time you go. That being said, if you love oysters, The Shore Club is still a worthy place to start your evening.
Happy Hour 4pm-7pm Monday to Friday and 10pm-midnight in their lounge.
Pro Tip: Come for a few drinks and oysters after work to keep the wallet happy
